About Us
Welcome to the homepage of Non-Resident Nepali Association, National Coordination Council - Norway (NRNA NCC Norway)!
Org. nr.: 999 171 648
At the heart of NRNA NCC Norway is a profound mission that began on October 11, 2003 – to unite and bind the Nepali Diaspora under one unifying umbrella. Our journey has been a testament to the power of unity, driven by a strategic goal that guides our every action: to unite Nepali individuals residing all over the world, protect and promote their interests, and harness their vast potential and resources for the welfare of country they are residing and Nepal.
Our Origins:
NRNA NCC Norway's inception was inspired by the vision of bringing Nepali communities in Norway together and connecting them with their roots and heritage. In 2005, NRNA's National Coordination Council was established in Norway, marking a pivotal moment in our history. This development allowed us to create a local platform for Nepali and Norwegian/foreign citizens of Nepali origin living in Norway, providing them with a sense of community and a shared purpose.
Our Strategic Goals:
The strategic goal of NRNA NCC Norway is to serve as a catalyst for unity, progress, and positive change within the Nepali community in Norway and the homeland. At the heart of our strategic mission is the commitment to bridge geographical boundaries, forging stronger connections between the Nepali diaspora in Norway and their roots in Nepal. We aim to create a cohesive and supportive environment where the skills, expertise, and resources of our members living in Norway are harnessed to contribute to development of the community. Through fostering cooperation among diverse Nepali communities in Norway, creating opportunities for investment and knowledge exchange, and advocating for the welfare of our members in both nations, we strive to empower our community and strengthen cultural ties. Our strategic goal embodies a vision of unity, growth, and cultural preservation, driven by our commitment to the collective well-being and advancement of the Nepali community.
Our Main Objectives:
In pursuit of our overarching mission, we have outlined specific objectives that serve as the foundation of our organization:
1. To create a conducive environment in Nepal for investment and utilization of the skills and expertise of the Nepali living in Norway
This objective centers on our commitment to building an environment in Nepal that is welcoming to investment and leverages the skills and expertise of Nepali individuals residing in Norway. We strive to bridge the gap between the diaspora and the homeland, promoting economic collaboration and knowledge exchange. By creating a favorable climate for investment, we aim to harness the potential of our skilled expatriates to contribute to Nepal’s growth and development.
2. To foster closer cooperation among Nepali communities and organizations established in Norway
This objective underscores our dedication to strengthening the bonds and collaboration among various Nepali communities and organizations in Norway. By fostering closer ties and unity, we aim to leverage our collective strength, share resources, and work cohesively toward common goals. Our aim is to create a supportive and inclusive network that enhances our ability to address shared challenges and opportunities.
3. To serve as a common forum for the promotion and protection of the interests of the Nepali both in Nepal and Norway
Our organization serves as a vital platform to advocate for the welfare and interests of the Nepali community, whether they reside in Nepal or Norway. We are committed to being a representative voice, ensuring that the needs and rights of our community members are acknowledged, protected, and promoted in both countries.
4. Current EC's Focuses
This objective focuses on promoting Norwegian values of equality, diversity, and non-discrimination, fostering integration among Nepali immigrants in Norway, and advocating for these principles within Nepal. We believe that these values are foundational to creating a harmonious and inclusive society. In Norway, we actively work to embrace and advocate for these values, ensuring that Nepali immigrants are welcomed and empowered to participate fully in Norwegian society. Simultaneously, we extend our efforts to Nepal, aiming to raise awareness and cultivate a culture of respect and acceptance, reflecting the principles we admire in Norway. This objective underscores our commitment to bridging cultural and social gaps between the two nations.
