The Children Talent Show 2025, organized by the Non-Resident Nepali Association, National Coordination Council – Norway (NRNA NCC Norway), was a grand success, bringing together 76 talented young performers and an enthusiastic audience of around 200 attendees. The event, held in celebration of the Nepali New Year 2082, became a vibrant display of talent, culture, and unity.
The program was presided over by NRNA Norway President Bishnu Gautam, who highlighted the importance of fostering young talent and cultural exchange. The event was anchored by Mr. Pashupati Prasad Bhandari, Coordinator of the Children’s Talent Show and Treasurer of NRNA NCC Norway, whose excellent hosting kept the program engaging and lively. The event began with a welcome speech by Ms. Shraddha Singh Thapa, Women’s Coordinator, setting the tone for a meaningful and inspiring celebration.
A major highlight of the event was the presence of Chief Guest, H.E. Ms. Sumnima Tuladhar, Ambassador of Nepal, who joined online and shared her insights on children’s welfare, drawing from her vast experience in the sector. Special Guest, Pabitra Basnet (ICC Member), and Guest of Honor, Prof. Dr. Bishal Sitaula, also played key roles in making the event special, with Dr. Sitaula delivering an inspiring motivational speech.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Patron Jiban Bahadur Shahi, Past ICC Member Dwarika Maharjan, Hemraj Subedi, and Advisors of NRNA Norway, Salikram Aryal and Navaraj Adhikari, along with representatives from various organizations who came together to support this initiative.
Adding to the cultural diversity, Smita Aurangabadkar, Vice President of Maharashtra Mandal Norway, and her team attended, along with a mesmerizing Tabla performance by Dhruv Sonawane. The event also saw participation from Tamil Sangam Norway, Magar Sangh Norway, Nepali School Norway and sharing ideas and cooperation from Tyrkisk Samlar Familie Forening, Pothwar Welfare Society Norway, Bangladesh National Organisation Norway, Pak Norway Forum, Adams Barn Norway, Islamabad Rawalpindi Welfare Society, Snøengel flerkulturell Kommunikasjonsforening, and Bengali Culture Association of Norway, making it a true celebration of multicultural unity.
Behind the scenes, NRNA Norway Vice President Shayam Pariyar led the logistics team, while NRNA Norway Secretary Prabin Parajuli spearheaded the technical arrangements with Shiva Shah (President of NESCO Norway). Balkrishna Thapa managed the food stalls, and Shraddha Thapa, alongside Harikrisna Timilsena & Basanta Poudel, coordinated the participants, ensuring a seamless and well-organized event.
Since its establishment, NRNA NCC Norway has been committed to uniting and empowering the Nepali diaspora in Norway. This event stood as a testament to that commitment, offering a platform for young talents to shine while fostering a deeper connection between communities.
The Children Talent Show 2025 was more than just an event—it was a celebration of cultural heritage, youth empowerment, and community collaboration. The overwhelming support and participation have set the stage for even greater initiatives in the future.
